The annual research report of the Higher Education Journey of Young London Residents was launched on 7th December 2018.
London Councils, Continuum, University of East London and the London Borough of Newham have been collaborating over the past five years to examine the higher education journey of young London residents. The launch of this research report will highlight changes over the past decade in young people’s participation, attainment and progression to the London labour market at London and local authority level.
The report provides a comprehensive picture of the different higher education journeys of young Londoners over a ten year span. The research aims to not only provide a commentary on such journeys, but also to evidence the value of higher education to young people in London in terms of their early graduate employment six months after completing their higher education studies. This year, the report focuses on student continuation and achievement and travel to study patterns.
